The Department of Rheumatology and Immunology is a traditional competitive discipline in our hospital. It is the Sichuan Provincial Rheumatology Treatment Center, the Sichuan Provincial Clinical Research Center for Rheumatology and Immunology Diseases, the Sichuan Provincial Key Discipline of Medicine, the Sichuan Provincial Biological Infusion Center, a member unit of the China Rheumatology and Immunology Disease Medical Consortium, an excellent management center for the promotion of standardized whole-process management of gout in China, and a member unit of the National Rheumatology Data Center. There are 4 people with senior professional titles, 6 people with deputy senior professional titles, 6 doctors, 2 doctoral supervisors, 6 master supervisors, 1 expert with government subsidies from the State Council, 1 academic and technological leader in Sichuan Province, and 2 academic and technological leaders in the Health Commission of Sichuan Province. They have obtained more than 60 national and provincial-level projects from the Ministry of Science and Technology and the National Natural Science Foundation, with a total research fund of more than 20 million yuan. Their research on gout, rheumatoid arthritis, and systemic lupus erythematosus has won multiple first, second, and third prizes for scientific and technological progress from the Ministry of Education, the Sichuan Provincial Government, and the Nanchong Municipal Government. They have carried out and will carry out advanced diagnosis and treatment technologies at home and abroad: polarized light microscopy for precise standard diagnosis of gout, microcirculation detection technology for judging microcirculation disorders in patients with systemic sclerosis, low-intensity focused ultrasound combined with transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation for the treatment of bone and joint patients, joint minimally invasive therapy for refractory gout, immune adsorption and purification for the treatment of severe systemic lupus erythematosus and antiphospholipid syndrome and other diffuse connective tissue diseases, bio-targeted therapy, mesenchymal stem cell transplantation for the treatment of systemic lupus erythematosus, vascular inflammation, systemic sclerosis and other refractory rheumatic diseases.
